It’s snowing like crazy here in Michigan, huge heavy flakes swirling off the roof in great curls of wind to blanket the landscape in winter. It’s beautiful. I can say that because I’m inside my cozy home where it’s safe and warm, sitting in front of a nice fire my husband made for me.
And I can’t help but think how truly blessed I am.
Which brings me to my New Year’s wish for you, my faithful family, friends and followers – that you would have a life as full as mine.
This year, I saw my youngest child graduate from high school and go off to college. The amazing young adults my children have become astound me.
My husband and I grow closer than ever with all the alone time we now have. He wants to learn the Texas Two-step – this from a guy who has always firmly stated, “I don’t dance.”
We spent Thanksgiving with my husband’s family, Christmas with mine and between the two, I was overwhelmed, humbled to tears by all the love in my life.
My writing took off this year. I not only landed an agent, but a publisher too. My first book launches in February and I am so incredibly excited. I only pray my story touches people in a huge way.
In a world where we’re all so incredibly busy, I pray each of you will pause for a moment of quiet solitude to count your blessings. However much or little you think you have, don’t fret. There will always be those with more. And there will always be so many more with less.
Even when you think you have nothing to give, you can give the gift of kindness, friendship and prayer. Be generous this year with the gifts God gave you, whatever those gifts may be.
I hope I’ve touched you this year through my monthly posts and I look forward to continuing to do so well into the future.
I wish you the best life has to offer for 2016. May God bless you and yours with goodness and grace, health and prosperity, and above all, love.
God bless you, every one.
Have you touched anyone lately?
